Kelly K. Malone, Executive Director

Kelly began her career with the SUW in 1992 as the Secretary-Bookkeeper and assumed the position of Director of Community Relations in 2000. Following the retirement of longtime Executive Director, Mr. Clare Houser, the Board of Directors appointed Kelly to the position of Executive Director in 2004. While Kelly’s first year as Executive Director proved to be a busy one, it also proved to be highly successful as the agency well surpassed its goal that year.

Kelly resides in Orwigsburg with her husband, Michael. She is the mother of  two daughters, Erin and Katie.

Becky Woods, Marketing Director

Becky started her career with the SUW in January, 2022.  She was born and raised in Schuylkill County.  After graduating from Nativity B.V.M. High School, she earned her B.A. in Communications from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.  She went on to complete two years of service with AmeriCorp in Eastern Kentucky.  Returning home, Becky brings over 12 years of experience with non-profit leadership, community development, and marketing.  Her passion for service drew her to the dynamic mission and team of the Schuylkill United Way.

Becky resides in Pottsville with her husband and son.

Christine M. Johnson, Director of Community Relations

Christine began her position with SUW in January, 2018. She comes to the United Way with 15 years of leadership and fundraising experience on nonprofit boards and committees, as well as a B.S. in Accounting from Susquehanna University. Most recently, Christine has worked for Source 4 Teachers as a substitute in area schools.

She is a lifelong resident of Schuylkill County and currently lives in Orwigsburg with her husband.  They also have two sons. Christine is excited to be a part of the Schuylkill United Way staff because she has a passion for helping others. She is looking forward to contributing to the mission of the United Way in her home community and making a difference by connecting those in need with available resources.
